Loving SnapKnot

Ever find a company and you knew right away you'd like them? When I visited www.snapknot.com a message popped up from one of the founders, asking me if I had any questions. My first reaction was "how did you know I was here?" followed by "this is so cool". Mike and I chatted for a few minutes and he answered all of my questions. I fell in love. There are a million wedding sites out there, and I love that this one focuses solely on how to find wedding photographers.

I also love the story behind the company. Here's part of the email I received when we signed on:

"First off, a little history. SnapKnot was originally created in February 2010 when co-founder Reid was fresh off his own wedding and co-founder Mike was looking to start a new venture using his marketing background. We thought there was a better way to serve brides searching for their photographer and a better way for wedding photographers to grow their businesses, so POOF, SnapKnot was born; it's grown like mad, and we are proud to showcase the work of over 3,400 photographers worldwide."

A lovely surprise

We had a lovely surprise arrive in the mail this week and we just had to share it. In today's busy world filled with emails, texts and social networking, it's so refreshing to see this. A hand-written note from Walter Sendzik, CEO of the St. Catharines - Thorold Chamber of Commerce. We recently had the pleasure of shooting Walter's family portraits, and he surprised his parents with a canvas gallery wrap for their home.

"Just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful family portrait! My parents were speechless when it was unveiled. It was beautiful. Best wishes for 2012."

We love getting to know our clients and their families, and we're so blessed to work with such a great group of people.  Thanks Walter - the pleasure was ours!
